Staying true to his own and not becoming a prisoner of his own style, HouseWork is versatile with his sound and believes it cannot be classified into one specific genre. If his sound could be described, however, he attests "I would describe it as mainly edgy progressive house with a disco funk influence." HouseWork has released several tracks and compilations under a wide array of record labels, including System Recordings, Manifold Records, Electrified Mindz and Blinded Records. Although he prefers the old school ways of vinyl, he frequently utilizes CDJs in his sets, and Logic Pro and Ableton are used as his primary production tools.

HouseWork sought after all types of musical genres at a very young age. As a teenager living in Morocco, he became increasingly fascinated with the world of hip-hop and its surrounding culture, especially involving the artwork of spinning records. It was this passion and curiosity that birthed the concept of DJ HouseWork. Growing up in Marrakech, the top clubbing destination in North Africa, the aspiring artist fell in love with the penetrating rhythm of dance music and began to experiment with different styles like house, electro, trance, goa, disco, tribal, techno, drum n' bass and many more.

For HouseWork, traveling across the world came naturally, allowing the artist to bask in the rare opportunity of performing in some of the most beautiful places in the world, including Paris, Belgium, Marrakech, Casablanca, Chicago, Boston, Cambridge, Rhode Island and Las Vegas. It was while jet setting that he was able to play for and alongside some of dance music's heavy hitters, including Bass Kleph, Omid 16B, DJ Micro, Baby Anne, Soul Clap, Josh The Funky 1, Miyagi and Infected Mushroom.
